Hi, I bought a nikon d40 a couple of years ago, love it, but wish I knew then what I have learnt since buying it. Autobracketing would be nice, and more megapix. I think I would stick with nikon, but haven't tried canon or any other quality dslr's. Compiling lenses at the mo, no chance of a new body for some time.. Good luck.
Hey Paul I wish I had listened closer to some people who recommended I started at the D5000 but I went for the cheaper D3000 instead which doesn't have autobracketing either ;) The photo world is totally new to me right now having been a point and shoot on auto kinda guy all my life, I was really happy when I connected some dots the other day in regards to low light, fast action, shutter speeds and ISO ;)
